American Yesterday: Nostalgic Americana Artwork
What if you found a box of old photographs in your grandmother’s attic—and discovered memories you never knew you had?
That’s the idea behind American Yesterday, a collection of original nostalgic Americana artwork created to look and feel like photographs from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s.
These aren’t restorations of actual vintage photographs. Each image is newly created, but the people, places and moments are imagined through the lens of another time: a roadside stop on a family vacation, kids killing a summer afternoon, a neighborhood gathering, an old service station, a quiet Main Street, or an ordinary moment someone thought important enough to capture on film.
The goal is not simply to recreate the look of an old photograph. Each piece is intended to suggest the story behind it. Who are these people? Where were they going? What happened five minutes before the shutter clicked—or five minutes afterward?
Some images may remind you of somewhere you've been. Others might resemble photographs tucked into your own family's albums. And some depict moments that never happened at all, but somehow feel as though they should have.
American Yesterday is a collection of memories from a past that never quite existed—presented as though someone just brought the box down from Grandma’s attic.
Each piece is reproduced as glossy metal wall art, combining the character of vintage-inspired imagery with the color, clarity and luminous finish of a modern metal print.
